We love kids… other people’s kids, that is. Yours truly doesn’t have any progeny of his own to look after, so the need for a vehicle that has loads of interior space is mostly lost on me. If you do have some screaming little’uns to look after, though, your vehicular choices suddenly become a bit narrower in focus, and things like folding rear seats, power liftgates and rear-seat entertainment systems begin to look less like unnecessary expenses and more like valuable life- and time-savers.
Regardless of whether or not you have kids of your own, you’ve surely been trapped inside a moving vehicle full of the little buggers. Assuming that’s the case, we’ll step a bit further out on the limb and figure that you’ve had your own thoughts on how best to deal with the, ahem… problem. There’s a battle raging over the northern border between the Mazda3 and Honda Civic: the Mazda3’s 5,436 units sold in April outdid the Civic by 135, and through the end of last month the Zoom-Zoom ride leads the Honda by just 21 units. The rest of April’s Canadian top five is filled out by the Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra and Hyundai Accent. Compare that to April’s American top five of the Honda Accord, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, Honda Civic and Ford Fusion. Mazda (and higher gas prices) really have a hold on the Canucks, it seems – even if they’re flogging Mazdas for $20K over list…
The government is currently having a 20% toll rebate scheme for those who register 80 toll transactions and above on a single Touch ‘n Go card. This scheme begins this month.
Kind of odd that the scheme is not based on amount of toll used per month but rather on frequency of use, but no matter, something is better than nothing I guess. The way the rules are currently, one who pays 50 sen for toll 80 times a month (RM40) enjoys a rebate while one who pays RM2.20 toll 60 times a month (RM132) will not.
From what I can gather, all you need to do is to continue using your Touch ‘n Go card as normal. Using it in a Smart TAG works as well. But just to be safe you might want to register your Touch ‘n Go card first at the Touch ‘n Go Frequent Travelers Programme website (here is a FAQ).
Claiming your rebate is not automatic. Each calendar month, you will have to bring your card to the Touch ‘n Go center at Faber Towers or KL Sentral, or selected highway sales centres. If you qualify for a rebate, the 20% rebate will be credited into your card on the spot. You can only start collecting your rebates beginning 5th October 2009. As we have informed earlier, we intend to issue “Mazda Club” cards to members of your respective clubs and owners of Mazda cars. The bearer of the card (non-transferrable) will be entitled to some discounts from products and services provided by Berjaya subsidiaries, i.e. Pizza, coffee, fast food, hotels, books & stationeries, etc. We would appreciate it if you could submit to us the particulars of your club members, so that we may issue the cards for them to enjoy these benefits. We are going to organize the ATV ride activities at 16.5.2009 (Sat). U can refer to website below for more info http://www.atvmalaysia.net/. The rate is abt RM 100 for 2 hrs (rate & duration to be negotiated with them if we have better numbers).
According to members tried it before it is very fun and adventurous.

Im not sure how to contribute in this event as we dont have office for this club…. but as on 28 March we are having bowling tournament, maybe we will go for a night TT at putrajaya as it will be dark. As far as i know, Putrajaya also join this event and will turn off lights on few tourist attraction places.
